I work as an English to Spanish interpreter, accompanying engineers and managers to meetings with their clients or suppliers. I also provide language support during training sessions, audits and visits to trade shows, to ensure professional, efficient and friendly communication.
In my previous career as an engineer and production and quality manager, I actively participated during numerous meetings, training sessions, audits, and visits to trade shows similar to those of my clients, so I feel comfortable in these environments.
I prepare each assignment thoroughly, studying your products, services, technology and vocabulary in detail. My aim is for your company to be able to communicate without language barriers and to be fully confident that your message will be conveyed faithfully and professionally.

FAQs
What type of events do you cover as an English-Spanish interpreter?
I interpret at meetings with clients or suppliers, at audits and training sessions, and during visits to industrial plants and trade fairs.
What types of interpreting do you offer?
I am specialised in liaison interpreting between English speakers and Spanish speakers. This type of interpreting is also known as ‘bilateral’ or ‘short consecutive’ interpreting.
It involves translating after a few sent. This type of interpreting is ideal for meetings with few participants and for training sessions, audits and visits to trade fairs, as it is more dynamic. However, it is not suitable for conferences, where a single speaker may talk for an extended period of time.
Do you offer both on-site and online interpreting?
I work mainly on-site, either at the offices, industrial plant or trade show that the client is visiting.
How do you prepare for a technical interpreting assignment?
I request in advance information about the topic and participants, as well as any supporting documentation.
Can you handle a few meetings in a row on different topics?
Yes. I’m used to interpreting during audits and technical visits, where each meeting covers a different topic (I would need information about the topics in advance, so that I can prepare for the meetings).
Do you work with interpreting agencies or directly with companies?
Both. I regularly work with interpreting agencies and also directly with companies who need a specialised interpreter for technical meetings or visits to suppliers or trade fairs.
Are you available to travel?
For short interpreting assignments, I work in Barcelona and in other areas within Catalonia. For assignments of at least three days, I can also travel to other regions within Spain, or abroad.
Fees
My fees are for a full day or half day and include preparation and travel time. I offer a 15% discount for interpreting agencies.
