First mathematics book translated!
Today’s a happy day. I’ve just received two copies of the maths book that I translated into Spanish last year for the publisher Vicens Vives.
You can’t imagine how thrilled I am. It’s not often I get the chance to physically hold my technical translations, and I must say that the publisher has done a beautiful job on the book. And what’s also important to me is that it was a pleasure both to read and to translate.
This hematics textbook follows the International Baccalaureate curriculum and includes real-life problems, so I think it’s it’s really interesting for young people (and for me!). It’s certainly a far cry from the maths I studied at school, which was incredibly dry.
As an added bonus, I’m translating two other books from the same series this year. Collaborating with Vicens Vives is fantastic, so these translation projects are satisfying for many reasons.
And no, I didn’t deliberately match the colour of the screen, the book and my dress. 😉
