To a successful 2020

Looking back at 2019

The holidays are over, and I hope you enjoyed them to the full 😊. For my part, I feel well-rested and eager to get back to work.

Those days with more free time on my hands provided the perfect opportunity to take a look back on 2019. It was a year of change and new undertakings, especially in the last quarter.

I worked with three new clients on projects different to the ones I normally work on:

– I translated a book on mathematics, something I’ve wanted to do for a long time now 😊. It was great, because I’ve always loved Maths – I even remember solving number series just for fun when I was kid.

– I worked as an interpreter in a nuclear power plant. I really enjoyed it and it was a great opportunity to learn about the inner workings of these plants.

– I was contacted by an international organisation to translate some documents about the reduction of greenhouse gases. This was a new experience for me, which I expect to repeat a couple of times a year.

And, of course, I’ve been working with my regular clients, whom I’ve worked with for several years and to whom I’m grateful for their continued trust in me. They are friendly, flexible, and offer me interesting projects and, because of them, I’m in the fortunate position not to have to look for many new clients.

I hope that the first quarter of 2020 will continue along the same lines as this last quarter and that our businesses, mine and yours, will continue to prosper.
